And in the name of
HIGHER LEARNING
(The devout pursuit of knowledge)
Were built ivy-covered copies
Of an ancient English college.
They planted in the youth
The seeds of language
Art and crewing.
Of questing after truth.
Of rooting for the underdog
And doing worthy deeds.
The graduates became confused
As they were sucked into the battle
Between the haves
And the have-nots.
And they went into busyness.
And the wheat became weeds.
